Gold is about to top

and that’s exactly why crypto moves next

Crypto does not move randomly, even though it often feels that way on lower timeframes.

Over longer periods, price follows liquidity, risk appetite, and most importantly, Cycles.

If you want to understand where crypto is likely to go next, you first have to look outside of crypto itself.

Right now, gold is sending one of those signals that tends to matter.

When gold tops, Bitcoin usually forms a bottom.

This relationship has played out many times over the years, and once again we are approaching a moment when this rotation will occur.

Most important chart right now

Local Gold vs BTC tops from the last 4 Years

There is one chart that keeps repeating the same message, regardless of the narrative around it: Gold vs Bitcoin.

Historically, many strong crypto moves begin only after gold has already exhausted its upside. Capital slowly rotates away from safety and back into risk, and crypto tends to benefit from that shift.

At the moment, this chart is very stretched.

It does not matter much which indicator you prefer to use. Whether you look at momentum, RSI, MACD, or cycle-based tools, they all tell a similar story.

Gold is no longer early in its move.
It is late.

Gold Cycles are running out of time

Gold Weekly Cycles since 2024

Gold moves in weekly cycles, and those cycles usually last around 24 weeks. Sometimes they end earlier, sometimes they extend a bit longer, but the structure remains fairly consistent.

We are currently in week 18 of the current weekly cycle.

That already puts gold in a phase where tops tend to form, not where new trends usually begin.

When I look at the cycle structure, a few things stand out:

  • the 3-day cycle is already pressing against the top

  • the 1-week cycle is slowly moving into exhaustion territory

  • the 2-week cycle might not even reach 80 and lose the momentum

When several cycles line up like this, markets rarely continue pushing higher in a smooth way. More often, upside slows down, volatility increases, and performance starts to lag.

That alone is often enough to trigger rotation into other assets.

When do you think Gold will top?
